Indian Navy has released a notification for recruitment of engineering graduates under the University Entry Scheme - UES. The notification has been released and is now available on the official website joinindiannavy.gov.in. The applications are now open. Candidates who wish to join Indian Navy are required to fill the online application forms before June 27, 2019. Details like eligibility, important dates and how to apply are summarized below.
Recruitment is for the posts of Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in Executive (IT) and Technical Branches of the Indian Navy under University Entry Scheme (UES).Selected candidates would undergo a two year training. At the beginning they would be recruited at Sub. Lieutenant and would be eligible for the pay scale of 56100-110700. Based on the performance and completion of the relevant courses, the candidates would then be promoted to Lieutenant, Lieutenant Commander and Commander with respective increments in the salary.
Eligible candidates will have to undergo Naval Campus Selection process. The Candidates qualifying the campus interview will be shortlisted for SSB interview on the basis of his preference for the entry, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria for particular entry.
Applicant should be in the final year (regular BE/B.Tech or integrated degree course) in an AICTE recognised university with one of the following educational qualifications and should have obtained a minimum of 60 % aggregate marks till pre final year (till V semester of regular BE/B.Tech and VII Semester of 5 year integrated degree course).
Age limit for applying for the posts is 20 to 23 years. Candidates born between 02 Jul 1996 to 01 Jul 1999 are eligible to apply. Both the date are inclusive.Candidates are advised to carefully go through the Official Notification before filling the online application form.
Candidates must have a minimum 60 percent marks in overall aggregate on completion of regular BE/B Tech or integrated course. The training is tentatively scheduled to commence in June 2020 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala. To check for more details, candidates can visit the official site of the Indian Navy.
